President

Graduate of Cleveland Heights High School (1991). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida, USA (1995), as well as an MBA in Business Administration with a specialization in Banking and Finance from ALBA Graduate Business School (2001).

Ιδρυτικό μέλος και επί σειρά ετών ενεργό μέλος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του ΣΒΙΒΕ, του θεσμικού οργάνου των παραγωγών βιοντίζελ στην Ελλάδα.

Διατελεί Πρόεδρος και Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της Mil Oil Hellas S.A., η οποία αναπτύσσει και λειτουργεί ένα ολοκληρωμένο οικοσύστημα κυκλικής οικονομίας, παράγοντας ανανεώσιμες πηγές ενέργειας. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, περιλαμβάνεται και μονάδα ηλεκτροπαραγωγής από βιοαέριο ισχύος 3,65 MW.

Συμμετέχει ενεργά σε ερευνητικά προγράμματα της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, με αντικείμενο τη διαχείριση και τη βελτιστοποίηση των αποβλήτων που προκύπτουν από την παραγωγή ανανεώσιμων καυσίμων.

Secretary General

Solon Ioannou is a Chemical Engineer with many years of experience in the design, construction and operation of power generation plants using renewable energy sources, with expertise in bio-liquid combustion, gasification and biogas technologies.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της επαγγελματικής του πορείας, έχει αναλάβει θέσεις ευθύνης στον τομέα της διαχείρισης εφοδιαστικών αλυσίδων, αποκτώντας σημαντική εμπειρία στον συντονισμό σύνθετων λειτουργιών και έργων. Από το 2008 δραστηριοποιείται επιχειρηματικά, διατηρώντας εταιρεία ανακύκλωσης και τεχνική εταιρεία.

Παράλληλα, έχει αναπτύξει έντονη ερευνητική δραστηριότητα στους τομείς της ενεργειακής αξιοποίησης βιορευστών και της διαχείρισης οργανικών αποβλήτων. Ειδικότερα, έχει ασχοληθεί με την απευθείας καύση βιορευστών για την παραγωγή ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας, καθώς και με την ανάπτυξη πιλοτικού θερμοχημικού αντιδραστήρα για τη μετατροπή οργανικών αποβλήτων σε βιοέλαιο.

He graduated from the School of Agriculture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1999 and completed postgraduate studies in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development at the Faculty of Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Alongside the start of his doctoral dissertation and his studies in Business Administration, he co-founded the consulting company Ergoplanning in 2001, together with Spyridon Tziakas and Anastasios Mitsopoulos. Today, he holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of the company.

V. Tziakas

He graduated from the School of Agriculture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1999 and completed postgraduate studies in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development at the Faculty of Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Παράλληλα με την έναρξη διδακτορικής διατριβής και την φοίτηση στην διοίκηση επιχειρήσεων ίδρυσε σε συνεργασία με τον Σπύρίδωνα Τζιάκα και Αναστασιο Μητσόπουλο την μελετητική εταιρεία ergoplanning το 2001 στην οποία σήμερα κατέχει την θέση του διευθύνοντος συμβούλου. Από το 2011 συμμετέχει στο μετοχικό σχήμα σ το εργαστήριο έρευνας και αναλύσεων Qlab μέσω του οποίου διεξάγεται έρευνα σε θέματα όπως η ενέργεια το περιβάλλον η κυκλική οικονομία δίνοντας έμφαση σε αντικείμενα που απασχολούν τις μονάδες βιοαερίου. Από το 2016 είναι συνιδρυτής στις μονάδες Βιοενεργεια Νιγρίτας 3mw και βιοαέριο Λαγκαδά 1 mw στις οποίες έχει ενεργό ρόλο στην καθημερινή λειτουργία τους.

Από το 2024 λειτουργεί επίσης μια τρίτη μονάδα βιοαερίου στον αχινό Σερρών σχεδιασμένη και κατασκευασμένη αποκλειστικά από την ομάδα της ergoplanning και της Qlab αξιοποιώντας την γνώση την έρευνα και την δεκαετή εμπειρία των προηγούμενων μονάδων.

Σήμερα μετά από 25 χρόνια έντονης προσπάθειας και πολλών επιτυχημένων πρότζεκτ τόσο στον αγροτικό χώρο όσο και στον χώρο της προστασίας του περιβάλλοντος οραματίζεται την διάδοση των αρχών της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης μέσα από το κέντρο καινοτομίας ergoplanning hub όσο και μέσα από το kolhiko innovation park φορείς που έχουν στόχο την συνεργασία την έρευνα και την καινοτομία προς όφελος της κοινωνίας και του περιβάλλοντος.

Dr.-Ing Alexandros Yfantis is the founder and CEO of SYCHEM group of companies. He is a PhD Chemical Engineer graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece) in 1996 and the Brandenburger Technical University of Cottbus (Germany) in 2000.

Dr.-Ing Alexandros Yfantis is the founder and CEO of SYCHEM group of companies. He is a PhD Chemical Engineer graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece) in 1996 and the Brandenburger Technical University of Cottbus (Germany) in 2000. He has significant experience in the design and operation of water & wastewater treatment systems, cathodic protection, and energy saving, with more than 60 publications in scientific journals and conferences. His scientific work as well as the engineering achievements of his group have been recognized with several national and international awards.

In 2016, he has been selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur for his high impact on the growth and employment in Greece. In 2017 he designed & supervised the construction of 1MW Biogas Power Plant (Bioenergy Crete - SYCHEM group subsidiary), a Biogas Power Plant with unique features & innovations. Since 2020, Dr. Yfantis is the President of the “Hellenic Association of Biogas Producers” (HABIO).
