Alexandros Yfantis
President
Dr.-Ing Alexandros Yfantis is the founder and CEO of SYCHEM group of companies. He is a PhD Chemical Engineer graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece) in 1996 and the Brandenburger Technical University of Cottbus (Germany) in 2000.

Dr.-Ing Alexandros Yfantis is the founder and CEO of SYCHEM group of companies. He is a PhD Chemical Engineer graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece) in 1996 and the Brandenburger Technical University of Cottbus (Germany) in 2000. He has significant experience in the design and operation of water & wastewater treatment systems, cathodic protection, and energy saving, with more than 60 publications in scientific journals and conferences. His scientific work as well as the engineering achievements of his group have been recognized with several national and international awards.
In 2016, he has been selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur for his high impact on the growth and employment in Greece. In 2017 he designed & supervised the construction of 1MW Biogas Power Plant (Bioenergy Crete - SYCHEM group subsidiary), a Biogas Power Plant with unique features & innovations. Since 2020, Dr. Yfantis is the President of the “Hellenic Association of Biogas Producers” (HABIO).

Vice president
Spyros Tziakas is the Co-founder of Ergoplanning Ltd. consulting company, active in conducting economic and technical studies for investment projects in the primary sector, manufacturing, tourism, and Renewable Energy Sources.

He is also the Co-founder and Vice President of Bioenergy Nigrita SA, Biogas Power Generation Unit and Co-founder and Vice President of Biogas Lagada SA. Moreover, Spyros Tziakas is the Co-founder of the company Qlab IKE, active in the field of Microbiological and physicochemical analyses of Food, Water, Soils, Waste, with specialization in the biochemical monitoring of Biomethane Power Generation Units and Co-founder and president of the Alternative Energy Solutions Energy Community.

Vassilios Diamantis is a qualified Environmental Engineer (2001) with a master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering (2002) and a PhD in Anaerobic Digestion (2006). He has experience in the design of waste treatment facilities and in the preparation of environmental impact studies.

Vassilios Diamantis is a qualified Environmental Engineer (2001) with a master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering (2002) and a PhD in Anaerobic Digestion (2006). He has experience in the design of waste treatment facilities and in the preparation of environmental impact studies. As part of his activities, he has developed technologies to produce biogas from organic waste (TRL 7) and for biological removal of hydrogen sulphide (TRL 8). Since 2009 he has been a member of the Teaching Staff of the Department of Environmental Engineering with the subject "Technologies of liquid waste management and treatment for energy and water recovery". He has participated in more than 29 research projects as scientific manager, principal researcher, or member of the research team. In 2018, he founded the ACT4ENERGY start-up (www.act4energy.com) with the aim of providing research and development services for environmental and industrial biotechnology. .

Chemical engineer with experience in the design, construction, and operation of electricity generation units from renewable sources (burning of bioliquids, gasification, and Biogas).

He has an extensive work experience as supply chain manager,
running a recycling company and a technical company since 2008.
Research-wise, he has dealt with direct combustion of biofluids to produce electricity and a pilot-scale chemical reactor to convert organic waste into bio-oil.

Konstantinos Nikakis is a graduate of the Department of Environmental Engineering, M.Sc., of the Democritus University of Thrace and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

Konstantinos Nikakis is a graduate of the Department of Environmental Engineering, M.Sc., of the Democritus University of Thrace and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
He got involved in the biogas sector in 2016 as an associate consultant for biogas plants, and at the same time he obtained an MBA "Energy and Environmental Investments" with a specialization in biogas investments. Through his collaboration with the company Tetoros Machinery SA., he was a member of the design and construction team of 24 projects and their extensions throughout Greece.
